GeoSuPhat – George Peterson

George Peterson has been producing electronic music under the pseudonym of GeoSuPhat since 2002. He grew up near the shores of Lake Michigan in the United Staes and had his earliest musical influences from 60s and 70s progressive rock bands. George has a degree in electronics and served in the military before he moved his family to Europe in 2000. There he became more and more interested in the increasingly popular electronic music scene, synthesis and sound design. GeoSuphats produces primarily downtempo electronic music genres including experimental idm, minimal house/techno, triphop and dark ambient styled dubstep.
George and his son Tobias started Togeo Studios soon after they arrived in Germany as a place to present their graphic art and music projects online. In the fall of 2007 they created the independent netlabel Togeo Music and started releasing their albums as free music downloads under the Creative Commons licensing protocol.
