Mathias Klingner (Der Basser) has been playing guitar since a very early age. His solo music productions have been progressive rock numbers with electronic underpinnings. Mathias started with acoustic guitars and then later picked up electric and fretless bass. Mathias is also the bass guitarist for the award winning German rock band Cheap Thrills.
His early musical influences started with Metalica, GnR, Nirvana and others. Lately he has been driven in the direction of progressive rock bands such as Yes, Genesis, Frank Zappa, King Krimson, Dream Theater, Spastic Inc, Magma and the guitar and vocal works of Dave Mathews.
